Ingredients:
Bliss ball base
- 200 g Medjool dates, pitted (soft and fresh)
- 1 scoop Chocolate Nourishing Protein
- ¼ cup cacao powder (reserve extra for dusting)
- 3 tbsp almond meal
- 1 tbsp cashew butter (or almond butter)
- 2 shots espresso, cooled (about 60 ml)
- 3 tbsp flaxseed meal
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of fine sea salt
Chocolate coating
- 2 blocks (about 200 g) 85% dark chocolate
- 1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)
Method:
If your dates aren’t very soft, soak them in hot water for 5 minutes, then drain well. This ensures a smooth, fudgy texture.
Add all bliss ball ingredients to a food processor. Blend until the mixture forms a sticky, cohesive dough.
- If too dry: add 1–2 tsp espresso or water
- If too wet: add 1 tbsp almond meal
Let the mixture rest for 5 minutes (this allows chia and flax to absorb moisture). Roll into tablespoon-sized balls and place on a lined tray.
Freeze for 20–30 minutes, until firm but not rock-hard.
Gently melt dark chocolate (and coconut oil if using) over a double boiler or in short microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.
Dip each ball into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off. Place back on the lined tray.
Refrigerate until the chocolate is set. Just before serving, lightly dust with cacao powder for that classic tiramisu look.
