The Super Elixir™ is a decade young this year and we’re still finding new ways to educate our WelleCommunity on our best-selling, pioneering greens. Here’s what makes The Super Elixir™ so topical, even ten years on.

The Super Elixir’s™‘Most Topical’ Ingredients:

'Topical' /ˈtɒpɪkl/ adjective:Of immediate relevance, interest, or importance owing to its relation to current events.

 

#1 Mushrooms — Maitake and Shiitake

  1. Maitake Mushroom contains an active component known as polysaccharides, which help to stimulate the immune system. It’s a premium source of fibre, B vitamins, amino acids, copper, potassium and selenium.

  2. Shiitake Mushroom is a source of fibre, B vitamins, amino acids, copper, potassium, selenium and antioxidants. It also contains an active component known as polysaccharides, which stimulate the immune system.

 

#2 Linseed (Omega)

  1. Linseeds, also known as flaxseeds, are tiny but mighty additions to a healthy diet and wellness routine. Packed with essential nutrients, linseeds boast a rich profile of omega-3 fatty acids, fibre, and antioxidants. These nutritional powerhouses are renowned for their potential benefits in supporting digestion, and aiding in weight management. One of the standout features of linseeds is their high content of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a type of omega-3 fatty acid known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Their high fiber content also contributes to digestive health by promoting regular bowel movements and supporting a healthy gut microbiome.

 

#3 Kelp (natural source of iodine)

  1. Kelp seaweed is a large, brown seaweed, which typically grows in shallow saltwater near coastal areas across the globe. Kelp, rich in nutrients like iodine, vitamins, and other minerals. The natural iodine content supports healthy thyroid function.

 

#4 Antioxidants (green tea, acai, grape seed, goji)

  1. Green tea is derived from the Camellia sinensis plant. It contains high antioxidant levels, flavonoids and polyphenols.

 

  1. Acai berries are high in antioxidants, which means they help protect cells against free radical damage. They also contain amino acids, fibre, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and vitamin C which can help to support healthy immune system.

 

  1. Grape seed extract is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants are considered to be important nutrients for the skin and ageing in general. The bioflavonoids in grape seed extract help strengthen and protect cell membranes from oxidative damage. Grape seed’s antioxidant properties are considered to be stronger than those of vitamin C and Vitamin E.

 

  1. Goji berries or Lycium barbarum, are best recognised for their vibrantly coloured fruit. Full of antioxidants most notably zeaxanthin, which has been shown to support eye health. Goji Berries also contain other key phytochemicals such as betacarotene and polysaccharides.
