It tastes really awful! I actually can't drink it and i'm so disappointed! It doesn't resemble a vanilla flavour at all. Is that normal?

Protein powder is a lovely velvety texture and the taste is delicious. However there isn’t a measuring scoop. I am using a dessert spoon of powder to my standard mug and assume that’s an ok amount. I have also noticed that the powder tends to increase production of gas in my body. A bit tricky given I’m a yoga teacher and wind arises too often.
